CV
is critic and lecturer in the Department of Art History, University College London, England. The author of The Exiles of Marcel Duchamp, The MIT Press, Cambridge, 2007, his essays on modern and contemporary art have been widely published in international journals such as Artforum, Art Journal, Grey Room, October, and Texte zur Kunst. He is currently at work on a new book, provisionally titled Migrations: Contemporary Art and Globalization, an investigation of the relationship between contemporary art and the experience of social dislocation and political crisis, and a study of the video work of Dara Birnbaum. In 2008, Demos organized the exhibition Zones of Conflict at the Pratt Manhattan Gallery in New York.
