Dr. Clémentine Deliss is the Director of Weltkulturen Museum, Frankfurt am Main. She studied contemporary art and social anthropology in Vienna, London, and Paris and holds a PhD from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London on 1920s French anthropology and dissident surrealism (1988). 1996-2007 she produced the writers’ and artists’ organ Metronome, launched at the Dakar and Venice biennales; the Kunsthalle Basel; DAAD, Berlin; documenta X and documenta 12; Galerie Chantal Crousel, Paris; Kandada/CommandN gallery, Tokyo. 1999-2000, Guest Professor at the Städelschule, Frankfurt. 2003-2010 director of Future Academy at Edinburgh College of Art with student research cells in Senegal, India, Europe, Australia, USA, and Japan. Consultant for culture and education at European Union, and ministries of culture in Senegal and Austria.
